Overview

A standard energy storage system includes battery system(energy storage batteries and BMS), Power Conversion System(PCS), thermal management system, fire protection system and data monitoring and analysing platform. PCS can control the charging and discharging process of batteries to perform AC/DC conversion, directly supplying power to AC loads in the absence of a power grid. PCS consists of DC/AC bidirectional converters, control units, etc, it controls the inverter to charge or discharge the battery based on the symbol and size of the power command by receiving backend control commands through communication, to achieve the regulation of active and reactive power in the power grid. The PCS controller communicates with the BMS through the CAN interface to obtain battery pack status information, which can achieve protective charging and discharging of the battery to ensure the safe operation for the batteries.

 

Hualian gate driven optocoupler is used to drive power devices(IGBT, MOSFET, etc) in DC/AC bidirectional converters, protecting the main control chip and low-voltage components. Hulian high speed optocouplers are used for isolation of various communication interfaces(RS485, I2C, CAN), Isolation operational amplifiers achieve high-precision detection of input/output voltage and current. Compared to other types of isolation devices(capacitive/magnetic isolators), optocouplers have significant advantages in insulation safety performance, making them more suitable for high voltage applications like optical storage.
